Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains when a refund may apply, when project costs become non-recoverable, and what clients should realistically expect from PR, SEO, website development and other digital marketing services.
Our aim is to make the terms clear before work begins. Refund eligibility depends on the service involved, the work already completed, any third-party costs already incurred, and the written scope agreed with the client.
Understanding Timelines Before Requesting a Refund
PR and SEO are not instant-result services. Once an article or page is live, search engines decide when they crawl, index and display that content. Google's official crawling and indexing guidance makes clear that there is no fixed indexing timeline that can be guaranteed.
Even if a page is submitted again for crawling, it may not appear immediately in search. Google's recrawling documentation explains that crawling can still take time depending on the page and Google's own systems.
Business outcomes such as enquiries, stronger organic visibility or new B2B opportunities may therefore develop over a longer period than the date on which an article or page first goes live.
Refund Policy for Indian Clients
These terms apply to projects billed in India and should be read together with the proposal, invoice and written scope agreed for the project.
Public Relations (PR) Services
- Full Refund: If the publication specifically agreed with you is not delivered because of an internal failure on our side, a full refund may apply.
- Once Work Has Started: Writing, editing, outreach, distribution and publisher coordination may involve costs from the beginning. Amounts already committed to this work may therefore become non-refundable.
- Once the Article Is Live: When the agreed placement has been successfully published, that publication service is considered substantially delivered.
- Before Work Starts: If no production work or third-party cost has begun, the refund request can be reviewed by our billing team.
- Approved Refunds: Approved refunds for Indian clients are normally processed within 5 business days. Banks or payment providers may require additional time before the amount appears in the client's account.
PR & SEO Refund Exclusions
- A refund does not apply simply because Google or another search engine takes longer than expected to crawl or index an article. Google itself does not guarantee indexing timing .
- Rankings, traffic, enquiries, sales and AI-search citations are outcomes rather than guaranteed deliverables, unless something specific has been agreed in writing.
- Publisher downtime, technical changes or editorial changes made independently after delivery are outside our direct control.
Digital Marketing Services
- Website Redesign: Once the approved design direction moves into development, the 50% advance is treated as committed toward project resources and is generally non-refundable.
- SEO & Social Media: Monthly retainers reserve team time, planning and production capacity. Completed or partly completed billing periods are normally non-refundable.
- Performance Advertising: Advertising spend paid to Google, Meta or another platform is controlled by that platform and cannot be refunded by Invention Digital Media.
- Our campaign-management fee may be refundable if the agreed campaign work has not yet started.
- Cancellation: Recurring services require at least 7 days' written notice before the next billing cycle.
Payments & GST
Indian payments may be accepted through UPI, Razorpay, bank transfer or another method shown on the relevant invoice.
GST is charged where applicable. If an approved refund also requires a tax adjustment, the accounting treatment may involve a credit note under Section 34 of the CGST framework .
Any tax adjustment is handled according to the GST rules applicable at the time of the refund. Bank or payment-gateway charges that are not returned to us may be excluded from the refundable amount where legally permitted.
Governing Law — India
These commercial terms are governed by Indian law and should be read together with the agreement made with the client. The contractual relationship is subject to applicable law, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872 .
Where statutory consumer rights apply, this policy does not remove protections available under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other mandatory law.
Subject to applicable law and the signed agreement, disputes are intended to be handled by competent courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
If both parties agree in writing to arbitration, that process will follow the applicable agreement and India's Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 .

These terms apply to overseas clients purchasing services from Invention Digital Media in India. They should be read together with the applicable proposal, invoice and written service agreement.

- Approved Refunds: International refunds are normally initiated within 10–15 business days. Banks and payment processors may require additional time before the funds appear.
PR & SEO Refund Exclusions
- Search engines control their own crawling and indexing. Google's official indexing guidance makes clear that there is no guaranteed indexing schedule.
- Rankings, traffic, enquiries, sales, continued backlinks and AI citations are not guaranteed unless they have been specifically written into the agreed scope.
- Publisher downtime, platform policy changes or independent edits made after delivery are outside our direct control.

Where possible, an approved refund is returned through the original payment route. Exchange-rate differences, card conversion fees and correspondent-bank charges are controlled by third parties and remain outside our direct control.
Cross-border payments and refunds remain subject to applicable Indian banking and foreign-exchange rules.
Governing Law — International Clients
These commercial terms are governed by Indian law and should be read together with the written agreement signed or accepted by the client.
The contractual relationship is subject to applicable law, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872 .
If the written agreement includes arbitration, that process may be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 , subject to what is legally applicable.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove statutory rights that cannot lawfully be waived in the client's jurisdiction.
Submitting a Refund Request
Please send the request within 7 days of becoming aware of the issue.
Include the invoice or project reference, a short explanation and any supporting evidence. Requests should be sent to support@inventiondm.com .
General Terms
Each refund request is reviewed against the agreed scope, completed work and costs already committed.
If only part of the agreed service remains undelivered, an appropriate remedy may be considered based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Approved refunds do not automatically include third-party expenses that have already become non-recoverable.
